Early role
Give a role to the first members who verify a wallet in your server, and let them keep it.
The Early role rewards the people who show up first. Pick a role and a number (50 by default): the first that many members who verify a wallet in your server get the role, and they keep it for good.
Turning it on
Open Verification in your dashboard and find Early role:
- Switch on Give an Early role.
- Pick the role. It can't be a role a holder rule grants, because holder sync takes those back when holdings drop. Create a separate role (for example
Early). - Set First members and save.
The card shows how many spots are claimed, and the list under it shows who holds each spot and when they claimed it.
How a member claims a spot
A member claims the next free spot the first time they verify a wallet in your server, either way:
- Verify holdings in
#verify(or/verify), once a wallet is linked. The reply tells them their number: You're #7 of the first 50. - Link wallet from your server's page. Roles, and the Early spot, apply within moments of linking.
Spots are handed out one at a time, so two members verifying in the same second can never both take the last one. Your server's page tells members who haven't linked a wallet yet how many spots are left.
Only those two actions claim a spot. The daily re-check, holdings changes and level-ups keep roles in sync but never hand out Early spots. Switching the Early role on doesn't give it to members who verified before, only to people who verify from then on.
Keeping it fair
- It stays. Holder sync never removes the Early role, even when a member's holdings drop.
- Free a spot from a row's menu in the list: the member loses the role and the next person who verifies takes that number.
- Removing the role by hand in Discord doesn't fight you: a member who already holds a spot isn't given the role again.
- Lowering the number below the spots already claimed keeps everyone's role; nobody new gets one until spots free up.
- If Fealty can't add the role (it sits above Fealty's own role, for example), the spot goes back to the pool and the member sees the fix in the reply.
- No moderator or admin roles. Whoever verifies first gets the Early role, so Fealty refuses a role that can ban, kick, manage the server, roles, channels or messages, mention
@everyoneand the like. If such a permission is added to the role in Discord later, Fealty stops handing out spots until it's removed.
